Since I only got 10 hours a week at D'Angelos in Wethersfield I am in desperate need of
A. More work/ money
and
B. A productive way to spend my time
Ever since Camille sent me the Cut out and Keep website I have found myself drooling over the prospect of doing some of these projects! Unfortunately during the school year I like to keep my focus on my education because I fear straying too much from what i'm learning, so it's the summer now and I want to craft!!!
I am hoping that I can use the ideas from this website as a resource as well as my own creativity and my extensive craft and recycling collection. A resource for what you may ask? Money of course!!! Money for:
1. A car
- I have been going between newburyport and bridgewater every weekend for over a year now, using the T. In total, the trip is 3 hours, and it is split up so it's hard to get work done during this time.
- I go to school and have a boyfriend in MA, but my home and family are in CT, I could use my parent's car to drive me to work if I lived in CT, but I'm not there enough to find a steady job. I have a job in newburyport working 15 hours per weekend at D'angelos, but I still feel bad being so dependent on Alex and his parents for rides.
2. My Dad's Retirement trip
- My dad is retiring from the military in April and he has been in it for I think 20 years. He joined and stayed so that he could give me and my family a comfortable and safe life and I am so thankful for that. I think that the military also helped to make him who he is now, in my opinion he is a really good leader because he has done his best to make us independent people and he has always kept the peace in our family. I could probably start a new blog about how much I respect and love my dad but that would be creepy so I wont. anyways, I think that he deserves a really awesome and relaxing adventure to somewhere he would love. I decided that it would be awesome if he could go on a golfing trip to Ireland because he loves to golf, and likes Celtic music. I think he's actually been before when he was on active duty, he also went to Germany (where I was born) and my parents loved it there. Maybe i'll try to send him to Germany.... Anyways, the point is, this costs a ton of money and we're not rich people, so I was thinking that if I saved up $10 a week I could make a pretty great contribution. However, I still have my own needs (car, my new adventure to be an ethical eater, gifts for other people, craft supplies etc) and I am hoping that if I slave myself to crafting and proper advertising and general businessmanship than I can make some money for this too.
In conclusion, enjoy my blog, don't be shy to ask me about my progress and materials, and if you want to and have money, please buy my work!
Thanks for reading!
Sarah
